The Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course (AGMSC) is an annual conference providing an opportunity for anyone associated with Gas Measurement to learn from industry vendors through exhibits and in lectures and hands-on classes.
This year, Winn-Marion will present 3 different classes:
Upstream/Midstream Compressor Safety Systems by Rob Lesser
An overview of compressor safety systems: pressure monitoring, flow measurement, fire and leak detection, and shutdown control. Full review of utilized equipment and procedures.
Upstream Oil and Gas Overview by Rob Lesser
An overview of on-site measurements and control: pressure, temperature gas measurement, water measurement, oil
measurement and process control.
ABB Inc. and ABB TotalFlow Controls by Dan McIntosh and Ethan Schirra

Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course
The purpose of establishing the Course was to provide individuals in the natural gas industry with an opportunity to obtain additional training and education in the gas measurement and pressure regulation. This was done in an effort to upgrade the repair, testing and operation of gas measurement equipment as well as the quality of service being provided by the gas industry. The Course also enabled people to keep abreast of the latest developments in gas measurement, pressure regulation equipment and techniques.
