Automation & Controls Electrician

Position: Automation & Controls Electrician

Location: Arnegard, North Dakota

Experience: Licensed

Winn-Marion is a Manufacturer's Representative, Distributor and Service Provider of Instrumentation and Controls to the Industrial marketplace, and is seeking an experienced automation and controls Journeyman Electrician for its Arnegard, ND service branch. This candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the electrical requirement of our product installs at client sites. Most of the work is low voltage wiring and there is no trenching. Must be licensed in North Dakota or reciprocal state, or, be able to obtain license before employment.

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be able to terminate both high and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
  • Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge of components relative to automation.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Must be able to identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires.
  • Read blueprints to determine the scope of work and order the correct materials.
  • Assemble and install electrical equipment.
  • Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
  • Must be able to bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment, as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
  • Must be able to install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 60-lbs.
  • Adhere to national and state electrical codes.
  • Maintain great customer service and relations.

Position Description

Candidates need to enjoy teamwork and be reliable, hard-working, and adaptable to different working environments, including extreme weather environments. Main responsibilities include the safe and careful wiring/installation of company products at client sites, working with our Service Technicians, and providing maintenance support for SCADA, EGM, RTU, analyzers, gas chromatographs, and process transmitters. Job duties may include identifying safety risks, pulling wiring through specified pathways, and testing electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications. Other duties may include equipment calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, tank measurements, H2O measurements, radio installations, antenna adjustments, and other communication duties. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry a plus, as well as, must be able to work independently in remote areas, be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 60-lbs, and endure a lot of physical stamina due to loading and unloading work.

Corporate Trainer

Position: Corporate Trainer

Location: Centennial, Colorado

Experience: 1 - 3 Years Technical Product Training

Winn-Marion is a manufacturer's representative, distributor, and service provider of instrumentation and process controls to the industrial marketplace and to the oil/gas industry. We are seeking a Corporate Trainer with experience in product training and knowledge of ABB Totalflow Automation products.

Job Duties

  • Coordinating and administering product training and materials to new and existing service personnel.
  • Product training will consist of products currently in use by the company and introduction to new products being put into service.
  • Training will conducted both in a classroom setting and out in the field and will be delivered either in a group setting or one-on-one.
  • Must be able to motivate, guide, and train employees to maximize their efficiency, their abilities, and their product knowledge.
  • Assessing the knowledge and skills of the employees and evaluate the training outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • Must have strong communication skills and use those skills one-on-one and presenting in large groups. Must have 1 - 3 years prior training experience with technical products.
  • Must have expert knowledge on the ABB Totalflow Automation products used by the company and be quick to learn new products, as well.
  • Must be a quick learner, team well with others, and have demonstrated ability to use a variety of training methods conducive to adult learning.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • A high school graduate, or GED equivalent from an accredited institution is required, and a Bachelor's degree in training and development, business, communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with good MVR.
  • Previous experience with supervising and delegating work to subordinates and ability to evaluate their performance.

RTU Programmer/Automation Technician

In this highly visible support role, you will be responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLCs and RTUs in an oil and gas field setting. Other duties may include equipment calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, tank measurement, H20 measurements, radio installations, antenna adjustments, and other communication duties. Technician must be customer-oriented and maintain excellent relationships and service to existing customers. Candidates need to enjoy teamwork and be reliable, hard-working, and be adaptable to different working environments, including extreme weather environments.

Job Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Automation Controls or Instrumentation Technology or a BS degree in a related field, or Automation and Control related experience.
  • 1-3 years experience with PLC/RTU Instrumentation and Controls.
  • Strong computer experience. Must have programming experience.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with designing SCADA/HMI platforms, including programming PLCs.
  • Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blue print schematics.

  • Develop custom programming per customer requirements.
  • Produce a sequence of operations for customer review and approval.
  • Perform PLC/RTU troubleshooting, using the ABB Totalflow products.
  • Must be able to drive by company vehicle as needed to several client sites within territory.
  • Create documentation and forms for customers and Company personnel as needed.
  • Mentor and train Company employees and customers.
  • Maintain strong customer relations.
  • Must be able to work alone in remote areas.
  • Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and startup.

Warehouse Manager

Position: Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse site operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, proper data entry order processing, and supervision of warehouse staff. This role also serves as a support role for our service personnel by providing party that are accurate and timely.

Job Qualifications

  • Able to speak, write, and read the English language.

  • 3+ years prior warehouse experience preferred.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complies with all safety work procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
  • Strong knowledge with the P21 Accounting software.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by establishing design layouts, inspecting equipment, and performing or ordering repairs as needed.

  • Inspect received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately report the same.
  • Maintain the proper labeling, tagging, storage, and packaging of materials,
  • Safely operate a variety of hand tools and machinery in the assembly of products.
  • Maintain professional behavior and proper communication with internal and external contacts, including company employees, managers, and outside vendors.

Other Job Functions

  • Perform duties as assigned.
  • Effectively manage time and efficiencies. Efficiently manage company monies and purchases.
  • Successfully complete requested training classes and maintain all necessary safety certificates.
  • Assist with inventory counts.
  • Communicate professionally with all company personnel.

  • Operate forklift.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General knowledge of office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, computers, etc.
  • Properly cover the operating hours of the warehouse with proper staffing.
  • Work in a team environment. Demonstrate flexibility with priorities, processes and personnel.

Work Conditions

  • Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
  • Able to stand for long periods and endure a lot of physical stamina.

  • Maintain regular and on-time attendance. Position is 30-40 hours per week but may exceed 40 hours per week. May require evening hours.
